Well In Depth Reconstructor

Rating
I give it 5 out of 5 smilies.

I really love this product for a very specific purpose. I only use it after a chemical treatment since it doesn't seem to work as well as a weekly treatment for me. Using it after a dyeing or bleaching my hair makes my hair super-smooth and soft while using this after just a shampoo doesn't really do much of anything. It's weird, but the feeling of this right after you bleach is awesome. It's such a change from the rough feeling of hair after its been dyed. I do wish it came in a tube rather than a tub since you have to reach in and grab a glob out rather than squirting and its not so thick that squirting would be difficult. I hope they don't dc this since it really is the best post-chemical treatment conditioner that I have

Final Thought

Love it and it sucks that it was discontinued

Where can you get it?
Maybe Ebay :-(

I would compare this to Color Oops which means I like it. The only other hair color remover I've used was the Loreal one you buy at Walgreens that I hated and made my hair seriously orange and fried. The Ion one doesn't damage my hair too much and did remove some color. I used a semi-permanent hair color and its not supposed to work, but it did and didn't dry out my hair too much either.

It has less product that the color oops and one of the chemicals in the package was a lot thicker than the other so it had a hard time getting out of the bottle. I felt like I was wasting product. Even though it costs $5 less than Color Oops, it has a lot less product. I was fine with my shoulder length moderate thickness hair, but I was stretching it. This is a decent product and yet it does have the smell endemic to all decent color correctors. Don't forget to condition afterward.
Update 1 week later: I forgot to mention that I used this on semi-permanent color and the instructions say that it won't work on semi-permanent color since semi works differently from demi. Still, it removed the color. I've done 2 oil treatments since using this and my hair seems fairly recovered. I've found that hair color fades a lot faster after using a Color corrector/remover like this. It's like the color molecules leave the shaft easier. I never had trouble with hair color fading since my natural color is so light, but after this I have to remember to recolor every 6 weeks or so since the color washes out. Also like with most color correctors, it takes a week for the color to stabilize. My color is a little more brassy than last week, but it hasn't really darkened, but I used a lot of shampoos for more than 5 minutes. They say this washes the color molecules out of your hair and if you don't wash them out, they will return to the hair folicle and darken your hair.

Final Thought

Be careful and test before using.

Where can you get it?
I bought it from Sallys for less than $10.
